THE BAND

Mark Foster - Keyboards/Vocals
Mark’s keyboard skills started at age 6
playing organ at his dad’s church. Subsequently, his
musical adventures covered blues, rock, R & B and
country acts including Tanya Tucker, Sam & Dave, Bonnie
Bramlett, Kevin Costner, Dave Appeal and many others
while doing a stint as the house keyboardist at Indigo
Ranch Recording Studios. In additions to Mark's bluesy
keyboard skills, his gruff and soulful voice bears an
uncanny similarity to that of Greg Allman.

Buzzy James - Guitar/Vocals
Born
and raised in Southern California, Buzzy started playing
guitar at 8 years of age after hearing the Beatles. In his
early teens, his guitar skills were influenced by the
likes of Jimi
Hendrix, Robin Trower, Cream, Led Zeppelin, and of
course, the Allman Brothers. Duane Allman was Buzzy’s
first guitar hero, which led him to exploring slide guitar
which has become his forte. After
banging it out on the Sunset Strip club circuit, Buzzy’s band Laidlaw scored a record deal on
Americoma Records in 1997. This lead to several major
international tours performing with Motley Crew, Scorpions, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eddie Money, Paul Rogers,
Marshall Tucker, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Georgia
Satellites, and Van Halen.

Doug Monteith - Guitar
Doug’s been an avid blues and rock guitarist since the
age of 12. Since graduating from the Dick Grove school of
music, he’s played almost every venue in Los Angeles.
Doug’s development deal with Polygram records in 1988
perpetuated into recording a record with the Robb
Brothers at Cherokee Recording Studios and a California
tour with Francesca and the Flames. Having been a member
of the hosting house band at a major blues club in Los
Angeles, he had the opportunity to play with some of the
most prominent names in blues. After seeing over 30
Allman Brothers concerts, Doug is considered to be a
true Allmanaholic.

Scott Richards - Bass/Vocals
After
studying Classical Guitar and Piano for most of his young
life, Scott turned to song writing and performance
with several progressive pop/rock and fusion groups
including his own band Glass House which was a mainstay on
the L.A. circuit during the 90's. He was bitten by the
tribute band bug in early 2000 and has since spent time in
no less than 8 prominent nationally renowned tribute bands
including Smokin' (Boston tribute), Grand Illusion (Styx
tribute), Led Zepagain (Led Zeppelin tribute) and Infinity
(Journey tribute). Scott's natural ear for musical detail
makes him a valuable asset to the Midnight Rider team.

Ron Henderson - Drums
Ron’s musical adventures kicked in when he
played the Hollywood Bowl at age 14 with his Jr.
High Jazz Band. While honing his skills during
his formative years playing with rock & jazz
bands at the best venues on the West Coast, he
gained additional musical exposure playing
tympani & percussion with the Pasadena
Philharmonic Orchestra. This led to future work
with name acts the likes of Taste of Honey,
Spencer Davis, Leif Garrett, Grass Roots and
Steve Vai. With such a diverse musical
background, Ron became the first call session
drummer for Moonwind Studios and Chappell
Publishing. Being no stranger to playing
nationally with quality tribute bands, the
Allman Brothers tribute Midnight Rider has
become a perfect vehicle for Ron’s muscular
sound that sets the tone for Midnight Rider's
rhythm section.
